Our aim is to introduce topics, basic & advanced, to give members a better understanding of how your PC works & to enjoy using it for various hobbies.
We cover topics which are of interest to both the beginner through to the more experienced user. We give basic hints & tips, simple explanations on the workings of your PC & to more advanced topics such as reformatting your hard Drive.
Some topics we have covered are :-
Keeping your Hard Drive clean & tidy & explain the reasons for doing so.
Using WORD, which is a powerful piece of software, to do projects such as creating greetings cards, calendars, newsletters, printing on labels etc...
How to record music from your old vinyl records onto your PC then onto CDs.
Using your scanner to scan those precious family photos into your PC & creating slide shows.
Using your PC to download photos from your Digital Camera & enhance & manipulate them.
Video editing, Transfering VHS Tapes to PC, then to DVD.
For each topic covered we issue worksheets giving step by step easy to understand instructions.
We try to introduce topics to make your Computing Hobby Fun, and also have a question and answer session at the meetings.
